Mountain Bike Fellowship
"I will make each of My mountains a road, and My highways shall
be elevated." (Isaiah 4:11)
The vision of this ministry is that God would
cause us to have fellowship with one another and with him as we
ride out on the trails. Everyone in good enough health to ride
is welcome. Please join us.
For more information and to find out when we
are going to ride, please send an email to Steve: smarquez@ccfortsmith.com

Mountain bikers
ride through a single-track trail. We attempt to ride every
other Saturday. Email to
ride with us. |
Trails we ride:
Springhill Park
Trail Description:
A great trail for beginners and a fast trail for more avid riders,
this trail is all within the park and near the river. Well-maintained
and a lot of fun for everyone.
How to get there:
From Fort Smith head east on Hwy 22 (Rogers Ave.). Make a left turn
onto Hwy 59. The entrance is about a mile or so on the right
side.
Fort Chaffee / Ben Geren Park
Trail Description:
This trail has something for everyone! There are great flat spots
and some hills. There are also some technical rocky roads for the
more experienced rider. The trail is maintained and is well-ridden.
How to get there:
From Fort Smith head east on Zero Street. As you come to the first
entry into the Fort Chaffee
Redevelopment Area turn right (into
Fort Chaffee Redevelopment Area). At the first stop sign, make
a right turn, the road curves. Follow that road until you pass
Wells Lake, which will be on your right side. Keep your eyes
open, as you pass the lake, you will see the entrance to the
trail just over the hill on the right. Fianna Hills
Trail Description:
This trail system is a network of winding single tracks that branch
off of a power line utility road. The riding area is inside
a 15 square mile valley with 150'+ tall peaks on the outer
perimeter. The trails are typical of Arkansas: mixed terrain made
up of clay, shale, baby heads, roots, lots of creek crossings
and occasional rock ledges to jump. This is good woods-riding
that will force you to ride with good technique or wipe out hard.
Exploration is key, because finding the best single track and
routes takes a little planning. All-in-all, some pretty fast,
rocky,
technical
trails, and plenty of them. An excellent place
to better hone one's skill.
How to get there:
From in Fort Smith, head west on 540 almost all the way to the
Oklahoma border. Exit on "Jenny Lind Exit 13" and take
a left (south) on Jenny Lind Road. Continue on this road about
2 miles all the way to the end. You will be at a cul-de-sac in
Fianna Hills, a residential neighborhood. The trails begin at
the end of the road.
Additional Notes:
Do not fear getting lost! Houses and highways form the outermost
borders.
