Mena, Arkansas Tornado
A tornado hit Mena on the night of Thursday, April 9, 2009. It caused three deaths, injured 22 and serious damage to more than 100 homes.
The Saturday following a few members of Calvary Chapel Fort Smith traveled to Mena where they helped with the distribution of food, surveyed the damage, prayed with several tornado victims, and assisted as possible.
One week later, with members of Victory Temple, Calvary Chapel Fort Smith returned to Mena and helped with the clean–up efforts.
